The Team results are here. (Click on Link) The full results for Players are here. Notably Gullane U14s beat their elders with the best total of the day, 155 points to 138. Other Teams can be assured that 4 of the U14 Players will now have their handicaps cut! Haddington beat The Glen, Craigielaw beat Dunbar, Longniddry beat Kilspindie, and West Links beat Musselburgh. Considering the strong wind, scoring was excellent, and Lewis Irvine, 12 handicap + 2 CHA strokes, had a wonderful round of 76 giving him 45 points, including an Eagle 3 at the 16th, net Albatross 2, for 5 points! Jack McDonald tied for the best Scratch points total. Fergus Brown 40, Jamie O'Connor 41, and Ruaridh McKenzie 40, all picked up Handicap prizes. Special mention must be made of 3 young Boys. Freddie Holt, Caelan Pugh and Cameron McKey who all played for West Links although none of them held a CONGU Handicap. They hold only CONGU Club handicaps of 45, 37 and 50 respectively. Having to play off the maximum handicap of 28 from the yellow tees, they scored 25, 22 and 21 points respectively. Freddie's score contributed to their Team's winning total against Musselburgh. The CSS for both Boys and Girls was CSS=SSS, equal to 36 Stableford points. The 2 extra strokes for Competition Handicap Allowance do not count for Handicap purposes. Away scores will appear in the Players' handicap records at their Home Clubs.
