"Fit for Purpose Golf" custom fitting is run by Stephen Bedford, a member of Martyn Huish's team at North Berwick GC. Martyn and Stephen have now positioned this part of the business in an indoor facility run by Stephen at The Glen Golf Club. Stephen can be contacted at fitforpurposegolf@gmail and at 07739 854682. This new location gives Stephen a full indoor facility again comprising of a full indoor putting green, indoor swing room with Foresight Sports GC2 launch monitor running simulator software, which is the unit that Sky Sports use. This software can be used whilst playing golf outdoors or on the driving range screen for club fitting. Stephen will also have a fully equipped workshop on site. Brands which Stephen will be fitting going forward are, Titleist, Ping, Callaway, Wilson, Mizuno, TaylorMade and Miura, SeeMore & Scotty Cameron putters. Stephen will accept SGU Prize vouchers won by EL Juniors and others as payment for any fitting session, which begin at £25.
East Lothian Junior Golf League News
Liam Currid, a Gullane Member, has won the Lothians Boys U16s title at The Braids. Sam Hall, a Glen Member, lost narrowly in the U14s final. Aaron Hall of Kilspindie, led the qualifiers with a superb 67. Results here. Well done Boys! Not to be outdone, Jack McDonald of Haddington GC, has finished top of the Lothians Boys Order of Merit. The Scottish Boys and Girls Championships were held recently at Drumoig and Scotscraig. Hannah Darling of Broomieknowe and Craigielaw won the Girls' Championship. Scores. Well done Hannah! The Lothians Team of 4 in the Area Team Championships at Stranraer were all Boys from East Lothian. David Rudd and Cameron Gallagher from Longniddry, Aaron Hall from Kilspindie and Connor Wilson from Castle Park. They finished 6th out of 16 Teams. Scores. After an average score in the foursomes, in the Individual Medal Aaron scored 70, David 73, Cameron 75 and Connor 75. CSS was 72.
