Grace Crawford, aged 11, finished T25th in the 54 hole R&A British Girls’ U16s Championship but was 2nd in the U12s section with scores of 80, 77 and 79. Grace was just 1 shot behind 10 year old Rosie Bee Kim who scored a 73 (SSS 74) in round 2 including 5 consecutive birdies! Grace had an eagle 3 in round 3 but could not quite catch Rosie over the par 74 course at Fulford, York. In an extraordinary turnaround on the last hole, Hannah Darling of Broomieknowe birdied the par 5 to overtake the leader, Beth Coulter from Northern Ireland, who took an 8.
In the 54 hole Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters at Blairgowrie Connor Wilson finished T6, Conor O’Toole was 13th and Cammie Gallagher was 17th. Andrew Scott and Arran Hastings also made the cut. Aaron Hall of Kilspindie finished just one stroke behind the winner when he placed T2 in the final round of the Scottish Boys Open Championship at Royal Montrose. The event was shortened to 54 holes due to bad weather. In the Girls‘ Grace Crawford did very well to make the cut. Well done Aaron and Grace! Connor Wilson of Castle Park made the cut in the 72 hole Craigmillar Park Open with scores of 72 and 67, but sadly finished poorly – scores. Connor, David Rudd and Aaron all made the cut in the Battle Trophy. Aaron and Cammie Gallagher were well placed at 4th and T5 in the recent Scottish Golf Junior Tour at Southerness – scores. East Lothian girls lost on count back to Midlothian in the Cuthbertson Cup. Grace won the EL Girls Spring Meeting. In Florida, Valdemar Hundeboll finished 2nd in an U14s “Hurricane Tour” event.
