There were 67 Players players at MD 2 at Kilspindie on Sunday on a day of excellent scoring weather despite the proximity of thunder late in the day. The total of 152 Stableford points by a strong West Links Team was impressive as their best 4 scorers from 6 Players averaged 38 points! Only one point behind were East Lothian Girls, despite only having 4 Players. Rebecca Wilson broke 100 for the first time ever to score 51 points for EL Girls. Joe MacPherson of Kilspindie came second with 41 points, and Harry Dunkinson was third with 39 points on a count back. Aidan Lawson representing West Links, scored a 68 gross, for 37 points in the scratch section, narrowly beating both Byron Archibald and Fergus Brown by 1 point. The League Table has been updated, and can be seen on this site. East Lothian Girls and West Links Juniors have made an early break from the “pack.” Our thanks are due to Kilspindie Golf Club for hosting the League and we were ably assisted by Kilspindie’s new Junior Convenor Alan Russell, and the Honorary Starter, John Anderson. Kilspindie’s Captain Chris Stirling assisted Shona Paton, Ric Foulner and myself with the scoring. All scores have been posted to WHS so any handicap changes took place overnight. Players can register through the Golf Genius App for the next 2 Match Days at Dunbar and Haddington. Team and Individual Scores, with League points allocated appear below. The individual Orders of Merit will appear on the website soon. Players best 5 out of 10 scores count for that. The more you play – the more chance you have of winning some great prizes.
