Much to my surprise, the CSS calculation for today did not go up despite the strong winds at Dunbar. I have checked this out – see foot of article! The CSSs were equal to the SSSs, i.e. 72 (35 points) for Boys on white tees, 70(37 points) for Boys on yellow tees, and 73 (35) points for Girls. The Competition has been finalised and away scores should reach Players Home Clubs soon. Remember that for those who received the 2 extra strokes for the Competition Handicap Allowance (CHA), these extra strokes do not count for your handicaps, only for Competition results. Many thanks to Dunbar for hosting and feeding our 63 Players and their Convenors, and for the help received from the Starters – Club Captain Jeanette Main, Eric Irvine, and Frances Hall, Gordon Dunn and Alastair Fell from the Pro Shop, Chris Greco (a former Junior in the League) and all the staff in the Clubhouse, and to Junior Convenors Shona Paton and David Canavan for help with scoring. Team and Individual scores below (in net points order). Gullane Park Jnr. were the Team winners after a tie with Craigielaw on 138 but Craigielaw lost out to the higher score by Gullane’s 5th Player. West Links were just 1 point further behind on 137. Alex Rate wins the Augusta ball-marker for marking the neatest, most legible correct scorecard! OOMs and the MDs prize list are now updated and can be seen at these links. The League table has been updated. Gullane Park Jnr’s win vaults them up from 6th to 4th and West Links move up to 2nd. Craigielaw are setting a fast pace, and the next MD is their home fixture on Sunday 30th June.
