Clubs that are members of the East Lothian Junior Golf League will be invited to enter a Team in the annual East Lothian Junior League Strokeplay Championship. There is no entry fee.
1) Each team will consist of 4 players. A team may consist of 3 players, but will lose in the event of a tie.
2) The format will be that the 3 best scratch scores from the 4 scores returned will determine the winners.
3) In the event of a tie, the following rules apply.
a) 4th score counts. If still tied: -
b) Total last 9* holes scores of all 4 players
c) Total last 6 holes scores of all 4 players
d) Total last 3, 2 or last holes scores of all 4 players
* The last 9 holes on the card of the course.
4) A player may play for any Club where the player is a bona fide club member irrespective of representing any other Clubs in any other competitions.
5) There is a Handicap team prize which cannot also be won by the scratch winners.
There is one individual scratch prize and one individual handicap prize.
6) The recommendation for adjustments when Girls also play in ELJL competitions is: – When Girls play from the LGU Tees; their handicaps should be adjusted by adding the difference between the Mens’ and Ladies’ SSS. These allowances must be added to the Ladies’ handicaps before any handicap allowance fraction is calculated. Should a Ladies’ SSS ever be higher than the Mens, the reverse situation will apply.
7) Clubs will arrange and pay for the catering requirements of their players.
